About Me

I am a Washington State Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Child Mental Health Specialist working in private practice. I graduated from the University of Oregon in 1985 with a degree in Counseling Psychology. Prior to opening my practice I worked in community mental health agencies as a therapist and clinical supervisor for close to 30 years. I work with adults, couples and children of all ages in areas ranging form anxiety and depression to trauma, grief and communication skills. I have additional specialties in helping children who were victims of sexual or physical abuse, improving family communication, parent support and education, infant and toddler psychotherapy, and helping boys with communication skills and behavior.

I have been described as intelligent, friendly and down-to-earth. I work with clients of many backgrounds and cultures, offering support, insight, encouragement and clinical expertise. I provide individual and family therapy to children, teens and adults, as well as offer clinical consultation and supervision to other therapists and counselors in the community. I have been married 37 wonderful years and have a beautiful adopted daughter, who keeps me young and active.
